I am so ashamed to be Australian today. The shark cull in WA continues with a pregnant breeding age Tiger shark slaughtered. The Qld government approves a coal company bid to dump millions of tons of sludge inside the Great Barrier Reef world heritage marine park. And a refugee released into the community after 14 months in detention is forced to beg at a charity for food clothing and a bed because he doesnt speak English has nowhere to go and doesnt know how to get a job. And this charity has just had its government funding withdrawn. A day of absolute shame. We are raping and destroying our greatest natural resources for the short term gain of a few already rich resource companies. We are killing a vital link in the food chain and after having this man for 14 months we havent done anything to teach him English. Teach him Australian values like its not ok to rape women when you want to and ensure he enters society as a contributor not a burden. I dont know what else to say. But I have signed petitions and donated to the causes fighting all three of these absolute idiocies. Dont just read this and nod. Do something. Fight for and protect our way of life. Our country. Our resources.
