I am so far behind this year -- was a busy end of year with lots of deadlines! Cards went out very late! I know cards are old fashioned and I do not expect any in return, but as a gypsy it is the one thing I do each year that keeps me in touch with the people I care about. Not everyone is on facebook :) Aside from the foodbank and toy drive, I also like to find a charity that speaks to me -- I just found this yesterday -- it really moved me--I miss my homeless Vancouver neighbors. I wish I could afford to give more, but every little bit counts. I would like to challenge all my facebook friends who havent found their place to give yet to join me in letting those who are homeless know that they do matter. homelesspartners/ By far my favorite Christmas ever was the year I helped Joshua McVey with his project to bring survival gear and messages of love and hope to the homeless in Vancouvers downtown east side.
