I am so grateful to live in the United States of America. I know it is ours because God loves us, we believe in Him, and because the greatest among us fought, died, and gave their all so the rest of us can live free.......Among the most important Veterans in my life are my Indian neighbors, Mr. Frank Bull, Comanche nation, who fought in the Korean conflict, Mr. Ben Clark, Comanche nation, who was in the military police during the Viet Nam war, Mr. Joe Goseyun, Arizona Apache, who was in Desert storm, Jerry Snider, Monte Merritt, Dane Pryse, Dr. Ronnie Ivie, John Ed Hunt, Joe Martin, and my step brother Russell Cottle , my cousin, Charley Hisaw, all of whom fought in Viet Nam, my grandfather, Silas Mariner Kennedy, who fought in World War I, Coach John Philips, who fought in the Korean Conflict, and the ten eighteen year old kids from our area in the northern part of the state who never came home from Viet Nam at all. And I thank my Good God too, that he has given us time to heal from the hatred and pain of past wars. I pray that I always remember that all of the soldiers in every conflict are some mothers children. I am grateful for every member of todays armed services, who are tomorrows veterans, for keeping us free at such great cost. Thank you. Freedom has never been free. Twyla Woodward
