I am so sorry to be posting this after the fact but he did have relatives in Bagdad. Jerry Lee Cook Jr., 38, Shelbyville, died suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday, June 29, 2014. A native of Shelbyville, he was the son of Linda Cabell Mancilla and Jerry Lee Cook Sr. He was a graduate of Shelby County High School and a material handler at Nifco. He was a sports enthusiast, enjoying football, basketball, baseball and golf as well as fishing. Survivors include his daughter, Destiny Rayeanne Cook of Crestwood; fiance, Martha Turner of Shelbyville; mother, Linda Cabell (Mariano) Mancilla of Shelbyville; father, Jerry Lee (Donna) Cook Sr. of Mount Eden; two sisters, Kim (Joey) Yates of Bagdad and Jennifer Lynn (John) Venters of Campbellsville; grandmother, June Lawson of Lebanon; one step-brother, David Lee (Kate) Talley of Frankfort and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at Webb Funeral Home with visitation 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Dr. Michael Cabell will officiate. Burial will follow at Shady Lawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Destiny Rayeanne Cook Trust Fund in care of Chase Bank. Arrangements have been entrusted to Webb Funeral Home.
