I am so surprised to see this video...... coz i have tried this design as a playing toy...inspired by the real JCB when i was a kid studying 7th or 8th std, i badly wanted a remote controlled toy car. you know they cost at least 500 rupees in 1999. My dad told me if get 1st rank in my class i will be gifted with the toy. well use your imagination what could have happened. The neighborhood kids where we stayed during my school days usually plays with battery operated toys. They dont know how to operate them and the best part is they dont know it operates on battery. Those toys use 4 X 1.5V AA batteries which eventually dries out, lets say in 10 to 15 hours of operation. After the battery dries out, they start to think the toy is broken and they eventually lose their interest on them. If their house maid has enough patience or not scolded about their daily activity, they will collect the toys properly and grade them depending on the battery condition. Good battery = toy operates = working toy Bad battery = toy doesnt operate = broken toy (they are uneducated maids - this is the best they could do) Working toys gets back to their cupboard, others collected in a crate ready to be traded to a street plastic vendor for recycling. It is my moment, i will sneak in open the toys with a nail-cutter/Fork/Spoon, then take away the useful components like dc-motor/gearbox/audio-boards and most importantly batteries. Even if i forget some parts the vendor will reject them as unworthy and throw away. To him the plastics are only worth recycling!! I will check the battery voltage using a LED light. I know for sure those batteries dont have enough charge for toys but they can run a wall clock for a month or more. Then i build my own toys but mostly gadgets using those parts and my inspiration from James Bond - 007 Movies. Pierce Brosnan was my favorite.. oh sorry back to the story.. My brother is a stubborn kid. One day a country dog bit him and he refused to take medicines. so my parents bought him a battery operated Bulldozer toy with wired remote convincing him to take medicine. This toy also behaved the same way, the 4-batteries discharges even faster as it has 3 dc-motors operating the Left Wheels, Right wheels and dozer front bucket respectively. He cries and gets new batteries but thats not the issue. I became egoistic and desperately needed a toy to compete with him. Next week at school physics class, my teacher taught me the very basics of hydraulics(Pascals law) which were part of academic syllabus. The next Sunday i managed to get 8 Nos. of used disposable syringes and 4 Nos. of Saline tubes from the ward boy of my House owners Hospital. I applied the physics and created a excavator toy like the one you see in the video. Thats were my creativity started. Dad... Thank you so much for making me what i am today.I really had tears in my eyes after watching this video. Tears of joy!!!
