I am so tired of hearing that the NY Art Scene is dead!! What has been happening more and more is that the people in power, the gate keepers CONSISTANTLY ignore our best artists as they swill from the market cesspool..afraid to EVALUATE which artists young or old are consistently showing a sensibity that GROWS over time and seriously ignoring anyone who is not getting the Medias self serving spotlight. It behooves each and everyone of us who says ART IS IMPORTANT to step up and be the voice that tells the truth about the quality of work around us. It is not THAT hard to tell which works will stand the test of time . Reality check.
