I am sorry I have to get my story off my chest and warn everyone not to use this restoration company!! We had our dishwasher leak in April and Precision Restoration was hired through our insurance. They quickly demolished our floors in front of the dishwasher and left fans to dehumidify the area. The initial manager who came told us this was a small job and should be done quickly and it should only take 2 weeks to complete. Its September now 5 months later and we still arent complete! This company is quick to get you started and then needs constant monitoring (babysitting) they either show up unexpected or need reminders to come back!! This company seriously has a lack of communication with one in other! They make false promises we had so many people telling us one thing and then it never gets followed through or they deny saying it. Most of the workers we encountered were nice, however they did subpar work with us having to point out sloppy mistakes and fight them tooth and nail to get them to fix it. We are reasonable people and dont expect perfection but we do expect it to look decent!! The guy who installed our floor left a large obvious wood stain on our stairs carpet and it was covered by our couch so it took us a few days to discover but I was so upset that he didnt say anything! He also wore his boots inside the whole time and tracked on our carpet purple PVC flooring glue (as I later found out what this was)! The first day we saw the new floors they were covered in boot foot prints the transition strip was coming off and there were spots where you could see he had cut but not used wood stain to cover the color difference!! I know this is minimal but still just showing no one cares! Next we had a painter come in to paint our shoe moulding he was really friendly and I chose to leave with my 4 kids so we wouldnt be in the way! About 2 hours later he phoned me when he was done to apologize for breaking my mirror and told me that it looked great! When I got home I was horrified he was a professional and thought THIS was acceptable! The painter never used a drop cloth or tape and spilt and carelessly wiped up paint and scratched our brand new floor and then the mouldings were not smooth or straight and had mounds of putty in each corner. I was in tears and immediately took pictures and emailed them to my husband and our project manager! After that we had to still fight them to fix it. Another manager phones me and said he was there and he thinks this looks good to him and he would have it in his house... Really 2 different mouldings with 4 different colours! We wanted to have the shoe moulding stained the same colour as the floor not white!! think they try to pull a fast one just to make you feel like an idiot for pointing it out and to save themselves money!! After that I was realizing more things like they never pulled our dishwasher out to look at the subfloor directly underneath it! And when we took a flashlight to it we could see water-staining and discolouration or mould on the wood. We had to ask them to come look at it! And yes that needed to be replaced and a fan needed to be put in again to dry it out! The guy said we would need the fan for a day or two! Well a week later still no sign of anyone to take the fan out or replace the floor board so we had to call them and find out when they were going to come as we wanted to install our new dishwasher!! We were so inconvenienced our kitchen contents were stored in our garage and our RecRoom and all the while not having a dishwasher and trying to stay out of there way with 4 kids!! Then having my passive easygoing personality it was really hard for me and Shawn to bring up and argue obvious mistakes, this was a horribly stressful situation that I wouldnt wish upon anyone! They were just deceitful, mean and antagonizing. I would never recommend this company to anyone!
