I am sorry if you come to my house and you find that its not clean, my children have been making memories for all of us to see, You will see sticky hand prints plastered on the wall, and please watch your step with the toys all down the hall, You will find blankets and bed sheets pegged to the backs of chairs, and hear that sound of laughter that stands up your tiny hairs, Youll be ducking and diving as balls n arrows fly around, and dont be to startled if you find me being a snipper on the ground, One minute they will be pirates, the next queens n kings, theyll be flying round in space ships and running round in rings, But for now I will not stop them, I am gunna let them be, for one day their childhoods will be gone and there be no more mess to see. The house will one day be quiet n empty without the thunder of bouncing beds, n I will no longer need the paracetamol to sort out my bad heads, I will one day sit in silence and wish that there was noise, n miss the patterns on the carpets from all those scattered toys, So for now I really am sorry, I am gunna let em be, as you can hear they are happy and thats all that matters to me.... I love my kids.xx
