I am spending this morning in reflection as I remember my mother who physically left us a year ago today. I could say so much about her but this page would not allow me the space to do so. However, I will remember her kindness-she believed that she had to help anyone who needed help. In fact, the week before she passed, her concern was simple, she had put things in order so that her children would not be stressed out with her home going service and expenses. She also left strict instructions with respect those who she felt God had impressed on her to help. Yes! She was also a planner and extremely organized. I will remember her pride (as a child, I called it the Jones pride), her strength, her sense of fashion, her thoughtfulness, her commitment to her children, her family, friends and her Creator! She was a highly spiritual woman and in the end, her strength allowed her to expressed to me the things she thought she could have done better. Many have told me that I am a lot like my mom and a year later; a year wiser, the comment is one that makes me very proud. If my life could reflect hers in the most minute way, then, I am in great company! Elsie L. Brown March 10, 1934-March 15, 2013
