I am still puzzled by an incident yesterday afternoon that occurred in Wood Road, Montclair at between 4.30 and 5pm. I had walked up to our driveway gate to meet a friend and saw that a G4 Cash in Transit vehicle had stopped in the middle of the road, blocking our driveway, and causing a traffic build up behind it. After about a minute or two a Metro Police vehicle stopped alongside the G4 van, and then the Metro Police left. After another minute or two a man jumped out of the G4 van with a metal cash box in his hand and sprinted down the centre of Wood Road, in the direction of the Post Office. The G4 van then drove off. What did I witness? Was it a hijacking and robbery? Where did the running man carrying the cash box go? I have checked the newspaper sites and there is not report of a robbery. Does anybody know anything about a hijacking or robbery involving G4? I am still puzzled.
