I am sure statistics somewhere have the real number for how many people passed away on January 7, 2012; there are 3 that I can speak about who were lost that day. A grandfather, father, brother, husband, and friend Grandpa Joe lost his life and two very amazing little boys lost theirs. Joshua Henry and Tyler Houghton, sons, brothers, cousins, nephews, friends... I didnt know Grandpa Joe well but the times I was able to meet him he was always very nice and I know he meant the world to those who knew him well and love him dearly. As for Joshy and Ty, I can tell you those little boys were full of life & love, full of energy, and had the sweetest smiles. Many people throughout the world lose their lives each day, the pain that comes from losing so many in the same family, town and community on the same day is gut wrenching, a pain no one should ever have to feel... for the so many that are left behind to deal with the pain still ever-so strong 3 years later, I send my love and prayers. There are no words to make things better, no magic wands to bring them back, and there is no medicine to heal the pain; hearts are broken and permanently. My only hope is that the love and support that surrounds you each day are enough to help you remain strong, remember those beautiful smiles and keep moving forward. Please take a moment today to remember Joe, Josh and Tyler and that life is too short to take anything for granted. Tell the people in your life what they mean to you every chance you get, kiss your babies and hold them close.
