I am surprised to not have heard of this great human being until his death. Listening to him talk about his work in this video reminds me of the prejudice that existed when I was a child growing up in Mauritius and still exist towards the poor in Mauritius. The positive side shows that music breaks all barriers. It is such a tragedy to lose someone so talented and passionate about his music and his people. May the people that he had helped turn around their lives, honour his memory and continue and build on all the good work that he has achieved.
