I am thankful that I know some really cool people. The number of folk I know who get some sort of really I mean it, thanks and whose internal reply is … Im an inspiration? Who knew? … are many. Many many. It is not any less an inspiration to see that slow smile creep across a friends face when I can tell them this - when they realize and believe its true. Believing in yoursefl is important. I do know folk who manage to inspire others and just live the day on through when they DONT believe in themselves, and theres probably days that Im one of them. Im thankful for the ability to forget those kinds of days and just have the best results catch up with me later. Thank you all. If youve the heart for it in between sneaking yourself a bite of that so-called plenty in front of you sometime today, consider - I live and love based on connections, not just the like button, but the way we connect with each other, the teamwork of trying to do things together, the understanding that we are just plain different people trying to get mostly the same thing done. It drives the paying work I choose, it drives the games I find fun, or fail to abandon when played for free. It drives the paying work that chooses ME, that needs that interconnection that I seem to generate sometimes just by seeking for it. I know that Ive found myself on the edge of my social-whatnots for being able to be not just friendly, but friends, with people who are intensely incompatible to each other. Ive had friends marvel at me that I can keep a connection, however tenuous, with people from my long past, enough to be ABLE to reconnect with someone much later. It isnt always true, theres been times when that didnt work. But I am intensely thankful for the friends I get to keep. Be you.
