I am the legal and titled owner of my 1997 Subaru Imprezza Outback AWD. I purchased this car 8/01/2009 from “Condon Auto Sales” in Brattleboro, VT. My parents (Robert “Mike” Powers & Marcia Ann Powers) bought this car for my 31st Birthday. I have always had full ownership of the car, I have always paid the insurance on the car, and I had always kept the car registered and inspected. On July 6, 2010, my car the the victim of a freak accident and was then stranded in my driveway. Months later, Robert, offered to bring my car back to his house on Brookside Avenue for the winter, as we lined up a donor car to repair the damage from the July accident. All was well and things were fine. Until April of 2013. At this time Robert “Mike” Powers & Marcia Ann Powers violated a Judge’s orders and took part in contempt involving my child. Since then the state, my daughter’s therapist and my own well being, all clearly have had to remove myself from their family, as well as my daughter. This is all still new and while putting plans in place to cut all ties, have all property returned and make a clean separation, I needed to get my car from their backyard, where it had safely been stored since Robert brought it out of my driveway in Colrain, MA. Today I went to see if a flat-bed could make it out back without damaging the yard and my car is gone. I spoke with a neighbor who said he recalled it being towed out. I called Mark Russell who does all Robert’s towing. Mark left a message saying Mike had my car scrapped. I still have the title in hand and no knowledge of where my car is.
