I am thinking of a next subject I can tackle. I am thinking of two candidate subjects. One is a mystery of "preserving kata" which means Okinawa masters told us that we must not change any part of kata. But yet we see so many different versions and different moves. This is, of course, very large between the styles such as Shorin-ryu, Shito-ryu and Shotokan. We even see the different versions even among Shotokan organizations such as Kanazawa style and JKA style kata. Why did this happen and is this acceptable or even good? That is an interesting subject. Then the second subject is "Where is the turning point of a foot?" In other words, when you turn do you turn on the ball of a foot or a heel of a foot or any where else which should be the pivoting point? This is more or less a technical subject and I receive this question often. Which do you think is more interesting? Ossu
