I am truly humbled by all the prayers and support. The outpouring of love is absolutely amazing. I have tried hard to reply back to each individual person who has messaged me or texted but there are so many (which I am grateful of) that I cant continue to do so. I will post publicly updates on Kyle Stone. Kyle, his girlfriend Cheyenne Lennon, Aaron Hickerson & Kristen Pearson were involved in an accident on 104 South this past Friday night after the football game. Aaron was driving faster than he should, topped a hill hit some gravel & lost control of the car. They flipped and Kyle was ejected out of the sunroof. The other 3 were wearing their seatbelts-Kyle was the only 1 not wearing one. The 3 others suffered minimal injuries. Kyle was airlifted from the scene to the Med in Memphis. He is suffering severe head/brain trauma. He has a rod in top of his skull measuring the pressure which is called ICP (intracranial pressure), he had to have his spleen removed due to being cut badly and having internal bleeding. His liver was damaged also by being cut. He had surgery to repair it and is on dialysis to keep the blood normally cleaned by the liver free of toxins. Kyles blood pressure is being controled by medicine to actually keep him with a BP. It is a touchy thing because they are having a hard time regulating it. Due to the brain injury Kyles oxygen levels were extremely low therefore he is on a special ventilator. This vent is equivalent to him taking 400 breathes a minute. It continuously shakes him in order to keep fluid from settling in the bottom on his lungs. Because that is so hard on his delicate organs he is under sedation and a drug induced paralyzed state. He isnt awake or able to talk. He however can still sense things & hear you when you are in his room. Thats why its so important when visiting him that you speak positive & uplifting encouragement to him. Its kinda neat-when his brother(Rusty Stone) talked to him his ICP actually dropped (good thing). Kyle has a very long hard battle to recover from this. He is young, strong, stubborn & was in good health otherwise so he has a fighting chance to come out of this. Not to mention the 1000s of prayers going up for him. There is POWER in prayer! If not then most likely Kyle would not of made it this far. So everyone please continue to pray for him. Let his horrible misfortune teach us all a lesson--always wear that seatbelt, slow down and be cautious-remember sometimes its not just your life you are in control of. Do not text and drive either. Kyle was not drinking, he wasnt high--his only fault was not having on a seatbelt. Accidents happen!!! Tell the people you care about how you feel about them every chance you can--you are not guaranteed tomorrow. Thanks everyone. We love you and appreciate you. Keep those prayers coming.
