I am very concerned about the recent deaths of young Black men. I teach a racially diverse group of students yet now when I look into the eyes of my young African American boys I feel afraid for them. I am joining an informal group to help find ways to alleviate the tension. The group is called Old White Women or OWW. To belong there is no requirement. One does not have to be old (since Im not), white, or a woman. The goal is to help to dispel the increasing divide of the races in America through awareness and education. I hope others will join the OWW. Post to your friends. Perhaps we can reignite the Occupy movement and help to save our youth.
