I am very sorry for the killings of young black men in our country. As we ALL pray for peace and understanding, I want to remind ALL of us not to believe everything you, hear or read in the media. Yesterday I commented about how the American media hypes EVERYTHING up and spins it to gain control of how you think if you are an uninformed citizen. This is NOT a new phenomena. Let apply some common sense to information gain via exposure to the media out lets. 1. Every evening, morning, day, etc. networks be they local or national open with overly dramatized , sensationalized negative reports. Then they repeat the same story again and again. Each time it appears to grow more embellished to,gain more viewers or the keep, you, watching. 2. They MUST fill air time so they often involve persons who know less than a damn to comment about things they have no REAL knowledge of. Then they reply that. 3. America was built on fear and rioting......look this up,for yourself. Our founding fathers first spread fear of Native Americans to justify killing them and the invasion of their lands. 4. Paul Reveres famous etching of the events at the so called Boston massacre were used to farther the colonist resolve to riot against English rule. The so called massacre was the killing of four to nine colonist, the first of which WAS A BLACK MAN. His draw depicted the redcoats as the aggressors when it was indeed the colonists. This was published and spread as propaganda... * So, in this country we have a LONG HISTORY of media manipulation upon the masses of those who WONT take time to educate themselves.....we just simply drink the kool-aide. As a teacher I put the information out, have my students to research and then we debate the actions and everyone is allowed to form there own opinion one way or the other.
