I am waiting for Obamacare to ban small cars and mandate that everyone purchase SUVs. SUV passengers in car accidents have far fewer injuries and fatalities than to passengers in small cars. Yes, SUVs are far too expensive for most people to afford, but those small cars werent really all that good or all that safe anyway. No, most people do not want or need all of the extra features of an SUV, but they just dont understand how little protection their existing small cars provide in the extremely unlikely event they are in major accident. If you like your small car, you can keep it. At least until your next oil change or tire rotation. Then it will be considered a new car and not grandfathered in. Taxpayers will provide subsidized SUVs to millions who dont have them now. Those in the middle who currently pay for their own small cars and earn too much for the subsidies will just have to cut back on things like braces (not covered under HSAs anymore) and pay the higher truck payment. But hey, they will get free maternity care so they can fill up all the seats in their new SUV.
