I am watching The Unbelievers on Netflix. If this isnt a portrayal of scientism, I dont know what is. Krauss, in the first 5 minutes of the film, calls religious people evil and his copy of Hitchens God Is Not Great his bible. People shrug off one almighty authority and pick up another, exchange one dogma for another. Watching Cameron Diaz talk was just as, if not more, painful- if they had simply placed a parrot in a room with Dawkins and Krauss for a period of time it would have yielded the same result, for she spoke not unlike a puppet with one of their hands manipulating her. All of these blind people, grasping for certainty in the night, even as they promote the idea of questioning everything. It violates the law of noncontradiction. But when did what is logical matter to people in pursuit of a higher authority than man? When logic stops man from denying what he is, why should he regard it at all? Oy vey.
