(I apologize in advance for the English, I can’t type in Arabic) This must be a joke. I don’t know at what point in time people became illusioned to the fact that you have this much obligation towards them. Sure you owe your readers respect but you certainly don’t owe them this much. I can’t find a single attacker that has benefited your country nearly as much as you have A mistake was made. Maybe it was a mistake worthy of an apology but it certainly wasn’t worthy of all of this criticism and opportunistic attacking. We can either accept it and move on or withdraw our trust. And that’s fine, because whoever believes a trivial error like this outweighs everything else youve done is not somebody who will benefit from what you have to say anyway I admire your ability to own up to your faults and I think its an excellent opportunity to remind your audience that no one is worthy of being treated like a God (we should know this by now). I never would have imagined anybody to have the integrity and decency to do something like this. To punish oneself when no one of importance is holding you accountable. But I absolutely will not sit here and listen to you refer to yourself as stupid or careless because I have three years of evidence that suggest otherwise I’m supposed to accept the fact that I will no longer be exposed to your thought-provoking ideas and theories because of something like this? Those same ideas that woke me up to the world I live in and helped me take tangible action to make a difference in my country? All because you didn’t have the energy to produce 360 words from scratch and because you made an editorial mistake? After everything your people did in the name of freedom, you will now allow yourself to be repressed because a great amount of ill-meaning people made this issue into much more than it ever needed to be? I am ashamed of my fellow Arabs I see a pattern and I’m scared. Its clear you’re getting tired and I fear the day we push our idols so far that they lose the will to fight for us. The day they lose their faith in humanity and decide we are not worth the effort they have to make to save us. When that day comes, we will be the biggest losers of all
