I apologize in advance for this gross story, but perhaps you can - TopicsExpress

I apologize in advance for this gross story, but perhaps you can learn from my mistakes. Ill stick to the lessons. I think you can figure out the story. 1) Make sure if you ever use a mandoline, that you have and use something to hold the item you are slicing, other than your own hand. 2) Make sure you have a good first aid kit on hand that you can access quickly, and it needs to have gauze, and a disinfectant/pain killing spray because Neosporin doesnt stick to a wound that is bleeding profusely. and liquid band aid 3) If you dont follow #1 and happen to slice off a portion of your finger, do not throw it in the trash. Instead, rinse it and your wound (which hurts like hell) and then cover both with the spray or Neosporin if you didnt follow #2. Then put them together and help fuse with liquid band aid, and wrap tightly, but not so tightly that it cuts off blood flow. Hopefully, they will fuse back together. ---- Having said all of that, I am immensely thankful for: 1) Tom, who was thankfully home and had to do some gross things to help me out but was a real trooper. 2) My facebook group of over 1300 nurses who give great advice and respond right when I need it. 3) The fact that Tommy had a brand new first aid kit in his boat, and he eventually remembered he had that. Briana, Im so sorry, but I dont think Ill be pulling off the rose apple pie dessert this year. Next time I will borrow your mandolin. Mine doesnt have the thing to hold the apple, obviously.
