I apologize up front because this will be lengthy, but if you never read my posts, this is the one you should read! Ive been going thru old photos at my aunts house while im recuperating and I came across a picture of me back in 2001 (boy was I fat) lol. The picture showed the bump on my face. I went to the doctor and he removed it and told me he got it all. I went on with my life normally until last summer. The diagnosis as you all know was stage 4 melanoma, the suregon removed the tumors he could from my small intestines. I seem to have several others no one will touch. I again went through this same surgery last week, when I awoke the surgeon in Chapel Hill said we got the new tumor and what was left from your surgery in August (in the small intestines) thats twice I have trusted someone with my life and both times I have been let down. My point of this post is always ask questions, always get a 2nd opinion and remember you are in charge. They work for you so dont be afraid to press the issue, and lastly since warm weather is approaching please use sun screen and stay away from tanning beds, ironically I was never one to spend a lot of time in the sun and have never been inside a tanning bed. I also was one of those people that thought this stuff will never happen to me! Learn from this!! from me!! If this helps one person my hell will not be in vain!
