I applaud the school boards decision to reverse the earlier administrators less than brilliant decision to suspend this child. They demonstrated the all too rare quality of exercising wise and prudent judgment. The administrators that choose to suspend Miss Kamryn Renfro. Preventing her from going to school is causing more damage than the good they perceive themselves as doing. My view on what has happened is that the original decision is the antitheses to what education is intended to do. I want to ask you these questions which I hope you give serious consideration. Is it not the purpose of an education to broaden a student’s horizon? Is it not the intention of education to develop a wise and prudent decision making processes in students? Is it not the intention of education to teach students to think three dimensionally? How can they accomplish this goal when they fail and fail miserably to exercise anything resembling: wisdom, fairness, common since, or good judgment? How can they accomplish the intended purpose of education when they don’t use common since or good judgment in their day to day business? I would like to submit the follow for both the board and administrators consideration. Start using the brains God gave you. Start acting like you have some common since. Because if you don’t you will single handily cause the down fall of our society.
