Inspection of my 4 hives revealed 2 with no brood and lots of honey. I have 2 hives with brood and lots of honey. No evidence of supercedure cells in the two that have no brood. What to do? Too late in the season to buy a queen, I suspect. Should I transfer a frame of brood from the other hives to the ones without brood so that they can make a queen? All hives have an abundance of bees. Lots & lots! And lots of honey. I do not want to forfeit my honey to wax moth if there is no brood or queens in two of my hives because that is excellent honey. Should I try to save the hives, combine, harvest honey, what? If I had supercedure cells, I could transfer them to the two hives without brood, but I do not see any....
