I appologize in advance for those who dont care to know or people this might piss off but do you know how angry this made me!!!!!! I have always held down a job to take care of mine---but where is the fairness in this--it took 2 to make my son!!!!! Gotta love Virginia Child support enforcement----My son turned 18 almost 2 years ago---The child support stopped accruing any additional amount but back support is still owed......Well I recieved a letter today..... CLOSURE INTENT NOTICE.....The noncustodial parent cannot pay support for the duration of the childs minority due to long term institutionalization in prison or a medical facility, or permanently disabled with no evidence of support, and no income or assets are available which can be attached for support. OH REALLY so for the 18 years of his life that his father could work and did work but didnt pay child support doesnt matter....I understand he is disabled now and cant work. But who takes care of his new baby--who buys diapers? If he is disabled does he get a check???---damn I have done it with the help of my amazing family for 18 years----All those years I never called Child Support Enforcement to push the issue and have thrown in jail.....I always told my son as long as your dad owes us we can never be cheated out of whats ours----BUT THAT IS JUST WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!! My son will never see a dime of the money that he intended to use for college.....SMDH This is beyond ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!! I have done everything I could to take care of my son---sad thing is that if I would have lived off the system Medicaid and food stamps they would have gone after him hard to get their money back but because I worked and provided insurance and everything else for my child now they just dont care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is the justice in our judicial system?????????
