I ask myself “What is church?” for me “A church is a building in which Christians meet for worship,” is one obvious possibility. Church is a Biblical Basics for Christian Community in which (from the Greek words ekklesia, meaning “assembly, church” and logos meaning “thought, word, principle”) we have to get out of these deceivable terms or phrases like church hurt. So are we deceiving ourselves saying a building is hurting us or are we being hurt by a person that we allow to hurt us? As we grow in Christ when is it time to confront people that hurt us and do we continual to allow the behavior from the hurter that another it hurt to my the person that hurt us? Its states in the WORD:Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. – Matthew 5:23-24 (NIV). When do we apply this scripture in ours lives Matthew 18:15-17 (ESV) “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church( members ) . And if he refuses to listen even to the church (members), let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
