I asked the eagle, You fly fast and you fly far. You can go anywhere you want. No one challenges you in the skies. Even the gods respect your might. Why then do you go back cowering to your nest in the evening? The eagle told me, I was once loved and cherished. I once felt safe and comfortable. It was on the nest I was born in. Ever since I flew out, I have known no comfort nor joy. So every day now, I fly with my wings outstretched, my eyes searching for the place I once knew to be home. Every evening, I return fatigued with failure. And yet, every morning I fly out again with new hope born out of the despair of the night. This is what has become my life now.
