I attended the BPA and GMO panel discussion at the Patrick Dempsey - TopicsExpress

I attended the BPA and GMO panel discussion at the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing last night. Emily Postman from the Environmental Health Strategy Center and Logan Perkins from the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association educated us on the realities of the chemical industrys power over the US judicial and legislative systems. The rest of the civilized world have laws and courts that protect their citizens from predatory practices. Places like India have been victimized by GMO cotton and have taken action to protect further environmental and health catastrophes brought on by doing business by the Chemical Giants. The United States is in reality treated as a third world country in which the most damaging, unhealthy products are freely sold without restraint. Our government does not even test products for hazards but instead welcome them with open arms. What information the US watchdog organizations have on the real science and health issues of these products is from Canadian and other European scientific studies. How does it feel to be shit on by our own government; laughed at, pitied and dismissed by other cultures?
