I attended the Homecoming Celebration for my good friend today. His birth was listed as Sunrise and his death as Sunset. But what we often refer to as a funeral service could in no way be measured as negative. Im sure there were some tears and deep emotion but they were not evident. Instead everyone who talked shared of how his life had a positive effect on everyone. One man said You just had to love him. The music and singing praised his life. His Homecoming Celebration was truly a Celebration to remember. This quote was given during the service and is by Laura Ingalls Wilder, “Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then dont remember me at all.” ―
