I attended the event around 2007 and have always wanted to return. It is an amazing site with the sacred mountain in the background. I am going to do my best to get there in 2014 if all works out. at 74 I must return to NM and W Texas desert and high country for at least one more visit. My favorite places are Taos Wheeler Peak trail Santa Fe Baldy trail Dog Canyon State Park trail Guadalupe Mountains National Park all trails, especially the Dog Canyon Bush Mountain 15 mile loop and Guadalupe Peak Rio Grand Gorge trail to Red River If there at NM state fair time it is hard to beat a day of Cumbia and other Latin dancing. Big Bend National Park, especially South Rim, Boquillas Canyon and if open Boquillas ejido. Dont know if visiting all is possible in one trip but would be great to have to choose. Taos and Guadalupe would be certain.
