I attended the memorial for Ms Meek. For my non-Lincoln residents, Ms Meek was killed this week in an auto accident. The car that struck her was driven by an inmate of the local jail. He was on a work release program and was driving a state (yes, a Nebraska State owned car) when he struck Ms. Meek. The crazy thing is this inmate has DUI (yes multiple DUI convictions) and drug charges. So far, the police cant figure out what went wrong. Absolutely amazing!
