I awoke this morning to hard kicks and rolls against my stomach, - TopicsExpress

I awoke this morning to hard kicks and rolls against my stomach, my little boy busily at work, moving inside me. There is no doubt of this little miracle inside me anymore. He makes his presence very well known as time moves on(especially with the swift kicks to my bladder). But this joy is bittersweet. As this new life begins, another life is fading. My heart aches to see ones who are battling with sickness and with death. My grandmother is so dearly missed by me right now, as I know how excited she would have been over this new grandson. Life is just so vulnerable. Like a flickering flame in a candle, by just a breeze, can be blown out. We take life so much for granted, running around, busily working away..many times too busy for our families, children, and friends. Then, when a life passes, the time we lost, we cannot have back. Today is a day for me to remember how precious each moment is. To remember I need to live for eternity not temporarily. I, today, have a choice. A choice of going my way or Gods way. To do my own thing or Gods thing. It isnt about what makes me comfortable or what makes me happy, but in the end, what God has asked of me. That, in the end, is what will give me peace in the end. My life, though blessed here today, may be tragically taken the next. Have I lived how I should? Have I done as God has asked of me? Can I surely say I will be awakened the time He comes to take us home, when the trumpet sounds? This is not a time to be idle anymore. I feel the burning awareness of how precious each moment is and how many people out there still do not know Gods love. I do not want to slumber or be Laodicean, but to stand on fire for Christ..boldly ready for each moment..ready for the day He comes to bring us home. Its times to wake up. Are you ready? Luke 12:32-34New International Version (NIV) 32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor.Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-9:1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
