I been thinkin bout my paw paw alot today. Sure do miss him. My parakeet keeps "tweeping"(as emily calls it), and I remembered a time when I was a little girl, I was at granny and paw paws house and been playin outside. I came across a tiny baby bird that had fell out of its nest in that big ole cedar tree. Paw paw kept telling me to leave it alone or the mama was gonna get after me, but NOOO,hardheaded Stricklands gotta keep on. Next thing I know that freakn mama bird was peckin me all in the top of my head. I went runnin and screamin to Paw Paw. Naturally, here comes Willie Wayne with the shot gun!! Poor ole granny was justa hollerin for him not to shoot em but if you know my Paw Paw, you know that was hopeless! Lol! I miss that ole man. Thats my heart! Bout time to take me a road trip to see his lil behind. Maybe I can get Nikki Miller to ride to Monroeville with me one day when the kids get back in school, huh?
