I believe a was way too much of a coward To tell her good-bye eye to eye. I left without even taking a bag, Thinking I was doing what was best. I always have the same dream. I see myself traveling back in time, Coming back to our most beautiful strolls, The two of us on the docks, our eyes on the horizon. She loved me With all her love, with all her heart. She gave me Everything she had when I was nothing. What did I give her in return? I caused her nothing but heartache. She who dreamed only of love, I had her heart in my hands. Bitter-tasting memories Stroke my most sensitive doubts. Knowing that what I did yesterday Can never be undone. I knew I wasnt for her, So why do I miss her so much? I keep going over it in my mind until it makes me sick, And every night I hope To figure out the reason. I saw her two years later Out walking a beautiful little girl. At that point, I got it, it was too late. In those eyes I saw that light that sparkles.
