I believe in protest. I believe that there are powerful and also poor ways to protest. Most of the time those ways are mixed leading to greatness or tragedy. In my head there are feelings of hatred, fear, discouragement and a deep seething desire for justice. It drives me to want horrible things to happen to those who do unjustifiable and lethal things to those who cant defend themselves and more importantly shouldnt need to. Especially when the police should be the ones who we trust. Which I have never, ever done. I fear the police as much as, and sometimes more, than actual criminals wanting to do me harm. In my life the police have always been a negative force. That being said, Im glad for the protesters that keep their cool in the face of so much turmoil and uncertain circumstances. Im also glad for the radicals who take more extreme measures that let the higher ups know that we mean business and dont f*ck with us when you are killing our sisters and brothers. I would like to thank the protesters who are beyond eloquent in their delivery of speech because there are so many of us (myself included) that dont have that gift and resort to anger and violence at times because we dont know how to express ourselves otherwise. Only to make it known that we are just as pissed and want to make a difference too. We just dont know how. Stay strong out there Albuquerque.
