I believe that music can soothe the savage beast so perhaps the answer to our underperforming schools is to emphasize music 1st and see what follows. I dont always have good ideas, but I dont think anything like this has been tried. When the drop out rate is 50% as some Milwaukee schools all of society is impacted. What have we got to loose? Ironically, I meant this as a joke at first, but I think Ive just convinced myself! The same solution will not work in all situations. We need to get creative!
