I believe the language Im seeing here is Turkish is it not? If so, I understand that these people are celebrating the disaster as if its a good thing, and one (EnEs Ece) even blamed the disaster on the U.S. saying Allah bizi ole felaketlerden korusun. I understand that to mean God bless the ole U.S. disasters. Maybe the Bing translator isnt getting it right. I lost count of how many Turks said Amin to this disaster. Japan is largely a Buddhist nation and some ancestor worship is still practiced there. There are very few Christians and Muslims there. I only know of one Japanese Christian church on the island of Okinawa, where I spent two tours of duty (6 months each rotation for a total of one year). Never saw a mosque the whole time I was in Japan. Am sure theres one somewhere there... Japan is a secular nation as is Turkey and as is the U.S. With that said, why would I celebrate a disaster upon the Japanese? That makes no sense! Did not God create sinners and does He not love them too? God allows misfortune to visit us because it keeps us focused on our need for Him. These natural disasters serve as a reminder that man is not as in control of his destiny as man would like to believe. Nature is still mightier. What kind of religion draws inspiration from the misfortunes of others?
