I bless God for his grace and mercy that has brought me to my 24th Birthday. I thank him especially for you all: my dear friends that have made life an amazing experience for me. I dedicate this birthday of mine to friendship and love. Of all my friends, I dedicate this birthday of mine to Emmanuel Akidi, my brother, friend and confidant. Emmanuel: My Dear Friend Extremely painful and devastating is the passing of my dear friend, brother and confidant. Having known him for four years and living with him for 15 months, Emmanuel Chijioke Akidi easily an integral part of me and my immediate family. In his absence, I relish the memories of his life. Emmanuel was a man with an impeccable personality. The fine blend of an amiable disposition, a tender heart, a loving, caring and compassionate spirit and a teachable mind made him as remarkable as he was. His peculiar and infectious smile had a warm effect on everyone. Emmanuel had a strong sense of purpose. He gave his all to every laudable feat. He made studying appear quite easy and excellence a necessity. His integrity was notable. For him, success was a natural result of hard work and grace. Pastor Emmanuel was a true son of God. His strong adherence to the principles of God’s word couldn’t go unnoticed. He loved to worship God with his amazing voice. Teaching the word of God was a marked pleasure of it. He understood the essence of covenant relationships with the brethren and was always determined to maintain them. Living Word Campus Church, ABSU will forever cherish the years he spent with her. Emmanuel was a man of insight and vision. He always looked and saw beyond the surface. He developed for himself a deeper dimension of every calling of his and believed so strongly in bringing them to fruition. The world of physics was far too undeveloped for him. He had a burning desire to run a Research Institute that will focus on grey areas in Physics and put Africa on the map of discoveries. He saw challenges as wrappings of opportunities and saw friends as God’s gifts to manage those challenges. Your passing, though unexpected, is not altogether a loss. The fruits of your life are replete on the face of the globe. Your footprints are evidently printed in the sands of time and the niche you carved for yourself still blossoms. Emmanuel worked with God and was not because God took Him. However, before he was taken he had this testimony that he pleased God. Adieu dear friend! Cho Avalanche!!
