I brought this gorgeous man home with me yesterday - what will the neighbors think? Rich was chomping at the bit when I got to the hospital yesterday, ready to go. He has a head full or salt and pepper hair and a salt and pepper beard and mustache. Thanks to you and your prayers and God above, he will only have to have ten days of antibiotics by mouth, home health for wound care, and hell be able to start Chemotherapy. My heart is filled up as I sit in my chair and see him on his couch with Lil Richard perched above his head on a pillow. Sometimes we forget the joy that the small things in life brings. My world has been so dark for the past nine days - I wanted to be with Rich but I couldnt because of work and the animals. Now the sun is shining brightly again in my soul. All is right with the world. Getting him in the house was tough. He had to practically crawl up the front steps because he cant put any pressure on his right foot. We finally got him up the steps and onto his knee scooter. I left him safely sitting down and went to move the car, asking him please not to move until I got back in. Naturally he is a MAN. He tried to get to the couch on his own and ended up putting a knot on his head. He has eaten very little in the hospital, but he ate the chili-cheese burger and home fries that I made with gusto. Peace, love and a big thank you to all of you for your love and prayers. God is so good. Please remember to pray for all of those who are suffering - and there are many.
