I burble about fun stuff, and wont let up, but were going through one of lifes big transitions... The rocket lights up the sky... then arcs and falls. My mother-in-law passed away recently and we had a party for her yesterday. Everyone has their own way, but Im happy to wave the flag for one of the champions of going all-out. She was a most hospitable and generous person. You never met anyone sharper. Watch out! She threw parties and dinners beyond the pale. Cocktail music. Gas pedal to the floor her whole life. ...For all the little kids. For everyone. With her most patient friend at her side. A dynamic duo. Lets go! Whenever they stopped for a minute theyd lay on the ground and sleep, I kid you not. Once she took her 1st graders to Chicago and waltzed unannounced into Mayor Daley Sr.s office and introduced him to her kids and got him to buy the class dinner. Once she won a big prize, walked out of the building and went and bought all the kids winter coats in the stores in town and gave them away. Yeah, she was a handful. She liked an audience and got one yesterday. SRO and down the street. Pie and hippos for everyone. Thanks. Best wishes...
