I call on the National Assembly, to enact a law raising the minimum literacy requirement, for anybody aspiring to be President or Vice President of Nigeria. The Current Secondary School certificate requirement, is not enough for a vast country like Nigeria. It will help to find lasting solution to dictatorship, political assassinations, mysterious plane crashes, and other evils that have characterized the ruling of this country for decades. We need to take a critical look at civilized or advanced countries; and the calibre of persons ruling them. We have to stop enthronement of mediocrity and move this country forward. Political Parties should stop fielding half-baked candidates on the basis of the huge amount on their ill-gotten wealth. That somebody has a diploma in “warfare”, is not enough rule this country. We need people who have sound educational background, among other things. Nigeria is potentially a great country. It is too big for any half-educated person, or cabal to hold to ransom.
