I came across a meme yesterday which said, I am 100% Bangladeshi - TopicsExpress

I came across a meme yesterday which said, I am 100% Bangladeshi as I dont support India and Pakistan. Now, how does supporting India and Pakistan make one a less than 100% Bangladeshi? What will happen if one supports Australia, South Africa, West Indies or England? Will it not make one a less than 100% Bangladeshi? I noticed many young generation to share that meme and I even wished to know the reason of their sharing and asked them the above questions as because I always wish to learn from people of all ages. Sadly, I didnt get any acceptable answers. I found that meme to be spreading hatred and nothing else. Its just a game and these are the people who are planting the seed of hatred in the hearts of young generation. I am a doctor. I work under the Govt of Bangladesh and I try to contribute whatever it is possible for me as a common citizen of this country. I try to treat the sick patients and save life. As an unknown and underrated cricket writer I try to write something about cricket and represent my country in the international arena. I try to help the poor with whatever I can. I try to help people and friends. But according to you, I have a big problem and which is, I support he Pakistan cricket team after Bangladesh. How can cheering for a cricket team can make someone less lovable? How can it make me less than 100% Bangladeshi? What about my deeds? What about the enormous love for my country for which I am unable to leave my country and reside in abroad? Only for supporting a cricket team I am bad? Frankly speaking, I can say honestly that I support the Pakistan cricket team. I am not afraid to hide my feelings. Like you, I dont sit and watch Bolloywood movies or listen to Atif Aslam after spreading hate messages. I am what I am. I love cricketers like MS Dhoni and Shahid Afridi and I can say with pride that I am not a fanatic and I enjoy cricket as a game. Fanatics are everywhere. In Bangladesh there are plenty. Such messages only going to install hate and what can we achieve by installing hate? Can we learn cricket? No harm in watching Bollywood movies, no harm in listening to Atif Aslam but all hell breaks down if anyone praises Kohli and Afridi. Patriotism and your true worth is expressed through deeds and not through such memes, hate messages or abusing. Its better to get enlightened by the true spirit of cricket rather than mixing politics with cricket. It will be helpful.
