I came in from a long walk about the woods, and on my phone, which I did not have with me, were about 5 frantic calls from Jennifer to go get Ivy from Daycare. They had been evacuated. We have a fire burning in the Canyon that is contained now. Part of the highway was closed and I had to take a backroad way to get to her school. All is well now. Although Ivy was one of the last kids to be there. One structure was burned and about 2 acres of pasture. Too close for comfort. I guess fires have become the main issue to contend with if you want to live in the mountains during this time. Once, the main issues were around our human encroachment of the animals habitat and how to get along! I am thankful for the response. of all the firehouses and firemen and women . You guys ROCK! You nailed that sucker before it took one of our precious Canyon neighborhoods. THANK YOU
