I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/22/2014 Poor pebbles has been a pet all of her life. She had a home and a family that she loved including children. Her former owner describes her as sweet and friendly. Unfortunately Pebbles got sick and her owner could not afford to bring her to the vet. Instead she was dumped in a kill shelter where she will die alone if she is not given immediate care. It is unclear what is wrong with Pebbles - the shelter found nothing conclusive but she is dehydrated and not eating. This is not a reason to kill her! She is still young at only 3 years old and scored well on her behavioral evaluation despite being sick and frightened. Please give her a chance! Once she is given the care that she needs, Pebbles should have many good years left to be a best friend and loving companion. If you can give Pebbles a chance to get better, please act immediately. She will not get the care she needs at the shelter and will die in pain without help. Dont let that happen.
