I can mention that our own perception as people from the Northern - TopicsExpress

I can mention that our own perception as people from the Northern part of Ghana towards the President and our acquiescence towards the tagging and name calling by the forest and coastal dwellers affect the performance of the president. The bitter truth is that there are people within the NDC who think John Dramani Mahama became a president by share luck. They cannot comprehend why a Northerner should sail easily through to become a president. We are talking party politics and should not expect documentary evidence. Now if he has such people working within his government, do you think he will succeed? The president is a man, a human being. John Kuffour is a man, a human being. My comparison between John kuffour and John Mahama should be on the basis of all being human beings who took up the same mantle to rule the same people. So that ones success or failure will be measured based on his individual ability rather than genealogy or geographical location. The president is an honest man. He tries so hard to move this country not because he is a Northerner, but because he is a Ghanaian. What might be lacking, to me, is his inability to control those he puts In various positions. Controlling the ones one appoints to do a job is a requirement for success, the absence of which will cause personal and minority benefits as evidenced by the actions of Kojo Mpianim under John Kuffour. This attitude is not attributive to either North or south, it is general. Contrary to the belief that he could find saviours in Alban and co, I think rather, he should be able to manage effectively, what he has because I do not see reshuffling helping yo bring us out of these crises. Let me say again that this country is not divided into two. It is Ghana. The sins of that monkey from Dindinpke should not be visited on the sheep in that neighborhood. On that note let everyone do his best and our best obviously, is not criticism.
