I can officially confirm that Victor Obonyo Ogot, from Kisumu County, Nyando Constituency, Kabongo Kanyagwal Ward who scored 359 in the last KCPE and got an admission letter _ Mbita High in HomaBay County reported to school last week. The boy whose mother is ailing and was almost forfeiting that rare chance to realize his dream. His efforts to access CDF that is meant to help the needy bore no fruits, no one gave him attention. I must thank the following : Standard Group / KTNs team Mwaura Samora for his invaluable support when I shared with him the issue The editor Ndegwa and Kisia who were willing to run the story on the daily. Finally Fred Omullo _KTN reporter, Kisumu County who followed the issue _visited the boys home and indeed he ascertained that the family couldnt afford a penny to have him in school I must acknowledge his willingness to have the story aired on KTN. But its so unfortunate that the Mps are reluctant to disburse funds to help the needy children those who benefit are the families who can easily pay School fees in expensive private institutions. Why is the society so MEAN. Because the MP took this effort after the wind round that the story was about to run in the print and TV. Its time these funds benefited the most needy, let our Mps prioritize. Thanks again Standard Group. ccStandard Group CC Mwaura Samora ccFred Omulo CC Nyando MP CC Ndegwa CC Kisia CC Nyando Constituents
