I can remember this day those many years ago like it was only yesterday. I was in sixth grade science class, Mrs. Alty was my teacher, at oakridge middle school. I remember the principle coming over the intercom and telling us something tragic had happen. My teacher turned the tv on for a little bit then turned it off till the end of class. I remember lots of my friends, including myself leaving early that day. On this day all those years ago our country was reborn. We became a country who was broken but became one again. On this day all those years ago many men and women, including law enforcement, paramedics, and firefighters lost their lives to save as many as they could. On this day we remember those who we have lost and the very reason we continue to lose more. Never forget the brave soldiers who have fought at war to keep us safe everyday. On this day, many years ago, tears were shed and hearts were broken. Lives were lost. But we stay strong!
