It has come to the attention of TUCUSA members that there is a meeting planned to take place in Nakuru on the 1st of November 2014 (BETWEEN A TUCUSA ASPIRANT and A FEW STUDENTS) to discuss WHETHER THE ELECTION WILL BE HELD IN THE SIX SUB-COUNTIES and TO FORM TUCUSA ELECTORAL COLLEGE that will manage the upcoming TUCUSA elections. Kindly TAKE NOTE of the following and let the Constitution of TUCUSA be the ULTIMATE LAW in matters concerning the TUCUSA campaigns and elections. Pursuant to Article 32 of the Constitution of the Turkana County University Students Association, Article 32: Composition and Establishment of the Electoral College (1)The Association’s Electoral College shall be appointed, constituted, and established on the THIRD WEEK prior to the Annual General Meeting provided that such appointment shall BE ratified by the sitting Management Council (2) The Association’s Electoral College shall consist of: a. The Ex Officio of the Association b. Five Members appointed by the Management Council Only the Association’s Electoral College is responsible for the Conduct and Supervision of Elections and “THE PREPARATIONS OF VOTERS REGISTERS, BALLOT PAPERS AND BOXES, AND DECIDING UPON THE POLLING STATION Article 34: Elections Procedure: The Electoral College shall in the first week of their office: a. Declare all Positions Vacant and Open for Contest b. Announce the Dates of the Election c. Call for the nomination of candidates to the positions declared open for contest d. Receive nominations papers from aspiring candidates e. Determine and publish the names of qualified candidates and those disqualified THE TUCUSA CONSTITUTION CANNOT BE CHANGED BY A FEW STUDENTS when the rest who are in Turkana County, Eldoret, Nairobi, Thika, Machakos, Mombasa HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED. #YoursTruly
