I can see all three of you guys in this man; David, Micah (Chrissy) and Luke. For those who may be interested in healthy aging, a Dr Bill Andrews led a team at Geron Corp. ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geron_Corporation ) a pharmaceutical company, who were tasked with producing a substance that would activate telomerase, the enzyme necessary for the protection and strengthening of our telomeres. Telomeres are the ends of our DNA strands. (As telomeres get shorter, we age. Of course, technically, aging is the passage of time, but the effect of aging is shortened telomeres. Science now knows why telomeres shorten, including lifestyle choices, but until recently very little has been known about how to lengthen them. That was the focus of Dr. Andrews team, identifying and producing telomerase activators to lengthen telomeres.) Geron eventually moved away from the anti-aging aspect of telomere support and shifted their focus to the activation of telomerase in combating cancer and auto-immune diseases, understanding that this would likely produce a sellable product sooner. Dr. Andrews then started a company called Sierra Sciences, sierrasci , and took his Geron team with him to continue their research. After a few years, funding became a concern, and three of the original team members who were under Dr. Andrews direction were picked up by Harvard University to continue their anti-aging research. Those three people together won the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their research in telomerase stimulation. Unfortunately they do not have a consumable product, and are years away from having one. In the meantime, their former team leader, Dr. Andrews, had developed a relationship with a nutritional, health and wellness company, whose founder and lead formulator had been doing his own research for many years, using only natural substances which showed evidence of stimulating telomerase. Dr. Andrews critically reviewed this research and has shifted the focus of his own research to natural substances. He is now in partnership with the company I represent, and together they have produced an all natural product, now in its fourth generation, that has demonstrated significant telomere support success.
